Valérie Bertinelli’s career in the spotlight
As fans and followers of Valérie Bertinelli probably already know, the star rose to fame through her work as an actress. Her first role came in 1974 when she was cast as Peggy on the CBS series Apple-style. For almost a decade, the talented star appeared as Barbara Cooper in the hit television series One day at a time. In 1990 Bertinelli took the lead role in Sydney, and a few years later fans of the actor had the pleasure of seeing her play the role of Holly Aldridge in American coffee.

Recipe for burrata caprese salad by Valérie Bertinelli
With hindsight, it makes sense that Valérie Bertinelli found herself in the world of cooking. The star recounted her fond memories of growing up and cooking with her “nonni”.
Over the years, Bertinelli has forged some of its own culinary traditions and customs. Her Burrata Caprese salad has become a fan favorite, and the reviews speak for themselves.
Luckily, Food Network broke down all the details behind the magic mix. First, in halves or quarters, cut two heirloom tomatoes. After arranging the tomatoes on a platter, season both sides with salt and pepper. Then mix fresh basil, garlic, salt and extra virgin olive oil.
Once the oil is well mixed, pour most of it just over the tomatoes. Tear the burrata balls into large chunks then sprinkle them on top. Top the salad with the remaining garlic and basil oil and serve instantly! Not only is this recipe easy to execute, but it’s a guaranteed success.
