Huli Huli Chicken Marinade to have on hand all grilling season

Blogger Grillin’ with Dad shared his simple marinade recipe.

Backyard barbecue season is right around the corner, which means it’s the perfect time to enjoy some must-have marinades.

Grillin’ with Dad food blogger Maciek Zurawski had his first American barbecue aged 10 after leaving Poland and was “immediately hooked”.

Once he received his first Big Green Egg for Father’s Day from his wife in 2017, Zurawski opened an Instagram account to share his dishes on social media. His TikTok has over 1.2 million followers.

He shared one of his favorite easy chicken marinades with “Good Morning America” to kick off home grilling season.

Chicken Huli Huli

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup ketchup

1 cup soy sauce

1 cup pineapple juice

1 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons chopped ginger

Mix all the marinade ingredients together and pour over the chicken, making sure to reserve 1/4 cup for basting later.

Marinate the chicken for one hour, until overnight, and when ready, grill over direct high heat.

Turn it over every 2 minutes so it doesn’t burn and start basting with the reserved marinade. Cook until the thighs reach an internal temperature of 175 degrees, serve with grilled pineapple slices and enjoy!
