In search of best bbq restaurants in toronto taste the cuisine of the South?

Barbecues are one of my prefer things about summer – there’s nothing quite like juicy wings or barbecued steak.

I’ve actually yet to have the pleasure of visiting the southern United States for authentic Southern BBQ, but these restaurants in Toronto are pretty awesome.

Here are some of the best barbecue restaurants to eat in Toronto!

Best BBQ Restaurants in Toronto

Smoque N’ Bones

This popular Queen West joint near Trinity Bellwoods serves Southern-style comfort food, slow-cooked meats and bourbon.

They are inspired by Memphis, Texas, Kansas, the Carolinas as well as Toronto.

Of Pulled Pork at Brisketall of their meats are rubbed in their signature spices and smoked in their specially designed Southern Pride smoker, which gives their meats their distinct flavor and aroma.

Enjoy your authentic Southern barbecue with traditional accompaniments, including Cheese macaroni, corn breadWhere Country potato salad.

If you’re looking to try a bunch of different things on the menu, they have a Sampler for two ($89), Family party ($140) and Family BBQ ($120), all of which include various meats and sides!

Their rustic space features dining tables made with reclaimed wood from an old Palmerston house, as well as old WWII bunker and prison fires.

A Roncesvalles staple for over a decade, Barque serves up some of the best barbecue in town.

Although they don’t have a huge menu of BBQ options, their BBQ is amazing.

They even have a Beyond Meat Kebab and Smoked Branzino whether you are looking for herbal or pescatarian options.

They also have fun and unique starters and sides like their Smoked duck tacos, Fried okra chipsand Plate of homemade pickles.

If you are looking to try several dishes, they have a Sampler for two ($89) where you can choose your options, or a set Meet the meat platter ($144) which serves four.

They are open for dinner from Wednesday to Sunday, as well as for brunch on weekends!

Beach Hill Smokehouse

Beach Hill serves up mouth-watering, authentic Texas BBQ at its 3 locations in Toronto.

They sell their smoked meats by the pound (with weekly specials available) and their chicken is halal.

You will find some secondary options including Southern Mac and Cheese and Smoked baked beans.

They also have a few feast options, including the Jurassic Park Kitchen ($130) and Home cooking ($80).

You can find them in Riverdale, the Upper Beaches, and High Park!

If you’re looking for authentic Southern BBQ in downtown Toronto, you can find STACK at Yonge & Lawrence.

All of their meats are smoked in-house overnight in their authentic Texas J&R pit, and they make all of their sauces and rubs in-house.

Family BBQ is their specialty, but they also have a great selection of a la carte options on the menu, including tacos and burgers!

For the trays, you have the choice between The ultimate board ($119.75), the Plate of chicken, ribs and sausages ($97.40), or Plate of chicken and breast ($97.70), all accompanied by meats and sides.

They also serve local craft beers and ciders, perfect to accompany all your barbecue dreams.

They also now have a second location in Oakville!

Located on St. Clair West, this casual spot serves Southern comfort food, including wood-smoked barbecue and buttermilk-marinated fried chicken.

They also have a selection of Midwestern style griddle smashed burgers and sandwiches!

If you’re in the mood for brunch, they serve a delicious Sunday brunch menu.

Their barbecue is actually only available on Friday and Sunday evenings, and the restaurant itself is open from Thursday to Sunday.

Cherry Street Bar-B-Que

Located near Cherry Beach, this barbecue spot serves up authentic pit-smoked meats prepared over live oak fires.

They have a bunch of different platters for one or even up to 6 people, ranging from $45 to $210, and they all have meats and sides.

They also have a selection of sandwich and burger options, plus tons of side options like Bean Breast, Potato saladand corn bread!

If you’re in the mood for a drink, they also have a great selection of draft beers and cans of beer (local and imported), as well as craft cocktails and wines.

I love their rustic space, which was actually once a bank, and they have a great patio too!

Big Crow BBQ

Run by the same folks behind Rose and Sons (and located at the back of the restaurant), you’ll find comfort food classics and Southern-style barbecue at Big Crow.

Choose between Loon feast for 2 ($96), Moose feast for 4 ($174), or Kodiak Feast for 6 ($251), all with meats and sides.

They also have a huge selection of sides and snacks, including their Texas Beef Chili, Plate of mixed picklesand Chilli Mac and Cheese Salad.

For drinks, they have all kinds of fun house cocktails, craft beers, and wines.

The cozy space includes long shared bench tables, and they’re open Wednesday through Sunday for dinner!
